闵冬潮教授等主编的英文学术著作Revisiting Gender Inequality出版
上海大学文学院文化研究系闵冬潮教授主编的Revisiting Gender Inequality：Perspectives from the People’s Republic of China 一书于2016年1月由世界著名出版社帕尔格雷夫·麦克米兰出版社Palgrave Macmillan出版。
该书是闵冬潮教授的欧盟项目Cross-cultural Encounters – the Travels of Gender Theory and Practie to China and the Nordic Countries(911616）的阶段性研究成果之一。另外两位编者是南丹麦大学的Qi Wang教授和牛津大学的Bo Ærenlund Sørensen博士。
这本论文集收录了9篇具有创新性和挑战性的社会科学方面的中国大陆性别研究学者的研究文章，它涵盖了近年来对经济、社会、政治和文化等方面性别不平等问题的探讨。朱善杰副研究员的论文“农村留守妇女的日常生活与媒体呈现”（The Everyday Lives and Media Representation of Rural Left-behind Women）成功入选。
该书是第一部全部由中国大陆学者撰写的关于中国性别平等研究的英文著作。经过出版社及多次匿名评审，终于按期出版，并得到书稿评论人的一致称赞。如美国阿勒格尼学院政治学教授Sharon R. Wesoky 如此评价：“Revisiting Gender Inequality offers theory-infected empirical critiques of the nature of Chinese development. This is vital reading.”而印度国家妇女发展研究中心研究员Mary E. John 这样说：“Gender Inequality in contemporary China has been made visible in this remarkable collection of essays in ways that go beyond standard conceptions of knowledge production.”
